My goal in sharing the photo was to make people think about all the people standing behind and supporting our country’s essential workers who are now at increased risk for the virus themselves. Some are adults like me, who understood that marrying an aspiring doctor, for example, might one day bring increased health risks.
But others, like our children, didn’t get a voice or say in the matter. Nevertheless, they are bonding together in the face of this virus. We are holding strong and staying home to protect those in our lives doing important work and I know that across the country, children of healthcare workers, grocery store workers, delivery personnel, police and firefighters, and more are doing the same.
If we’re going to stake some responsibility and consider others, at least take all precautions to protect doctors, nurses and all HCWs!
NancySa45944060 Yep, every time I see someone not wearing a mask when they should, I see the dead, the collateral damage, and wonder if 'the Purge' is coming allowing us to cleanse us of the maskless? At least we can put them in camps where they only infect each other, all to spare kids etc.!
So far, more than a quarter of a million dead ( 284,000 + & counting ) in just a few weeks. Already exceeded the death toll of the '04 tsunami ( ~230,000 deaths )
Where's the pictures of people losing their homes and businesses because they can't get back to work, people being abused behind closed doors, ppl with mental illness committing suicide ect? These lives matter also. And withover 95% survival rate if you get the virus?
