Health authorities have revealed the four square-metre rule and 1.5 metre distancing between students during classroom activities is “not appropriate and not required”.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison confirmed the health advice following a meeting of the national cabinet. “The advice cannot be more clear than that,” he said.

The prime minister also announced the national cabinet has agreed to develop a national set of principles for easing restrictions on sport and recreational activities. Image: News Corp Australia

It would be helpful to know how many school age children have been tested for the virus and what percentage came back positive. Parents can't make decisions based on opinions. They want to know what the risk is based on facts.

Bullshit. Every country has shut schools. PM trying to be popular but backfires. Everyone knows teachers and parents will spread virus. Otherwise why fine people sitting in a park?

Yet according to the advise last week before the P.m. pushed this position, the advisor said that these recommendations do apply to schools. Interesting that it changed all of a sudden

There's 2 groups you don't piss off:- Mothers and teachers. And some how Scotty has managed to piss them both off in one sentence. Leadership at it's finest.

When silly gets sillier

Schools should still maintain social distancing in the classroom, along with heightened hygiene regiment. Split classes over 2 days if needed. Might prolong the learning curve, but will lengthen the 'i'm alive' curve as welll

It's funny, but one of our so-called 'Voices of the Company', while iterating on the 'isolation difficulties' of working from home, mentioned to stay informed of the current news - only listen to trusted sources such as the WHO, and the 3 major LSM sources here in Oz. 😣😣😣

Does this idiot receive medical advice from Trump? If not apply to classroom, then not to Parliament either. auspol COVID19Aus

If the PM thinks its indeed safe for school kids he must spend time in a classroom full of kids preferably in the peak of winter in a non heated room.

GUESS we need to fire the so called Health authorities, they didnt know you dont need to distance, quarantine healthy people... who is going to the Anzac memorial tomorrow?

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison has spoken out today to correct a misqoute from Sky News. 'What I meant to say was... How about you sacrafice your own kids you walking scrotum.'

Teachers never know when to stop teaching, they are annoying so many people with their constant complaints. They are losing respect fast.

Looks like predetermined medical advice to suit you wishes !

WHO ARE THE HEALTH AUTHORITIES...NAME THEM ALL!

👎

Grrr. Not appropriate. What is appropriate ScottMorrisonMP Everyday you rewrite the measures to suit your needs it seems! The complete inconsistencies in your directives are irrational. Tell us the truth Scomo. What is the real reason for this PlannedemicNotPandemic?.

And if deaths occur as a result of the schools returning will the PM resign? Of course not. Enough said.

You could just do what our StableGenius says

So bob goes to the shop and gets covid-19 from touching a surface. He brings it home and gives it to his child. His child goes to school and gives it to everyone there cause 4m2 and 1.5m distancing rules don’t apply. They all take it home to their families, and the nursing home.

BlaiseJosephCIS One of the key leadership characteristics identified for successful Leadership in a pandemic is to explain the WHY. So Prof M please explain WHY student social distancing is not necessary in a school but needed everywhere else.

Woohoo, let's hit the beach everyone!

And things just got even more confusing 🤔 coronavirus

Bottom line. Some teachers just don't want to go back to work. And are using the old OH&S crutch not to. Typical union tactic.

The same people who shriek 'believe the science' about climate change continue to completely ignore the recommendations of the Chief Medical Officer.

Here come the unions

Listen to the experts. Let's get the kids back in school.

Now watch all the but belie e science when it comes to climate change not believe science when it comes to this.

Privacy issues versus health benefits ‘must be weighted up’ over govt tracing app | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Peter Gleeson says when people “start to think about the privacy issues versus the health benefits” surely Australians must now download the government’s coronavirus tracing application. \n\nThe app, which is modelled off a similar program in Singapore, would record who users were in close proximity to and for how long. \n\nPrime Minister Scott Morrison had said the application would help authorities to quickly alert users who have been in contact with people who contracted COVID-19, but said it would not be mandatory to adopt.\n\n“Now I know a lot of viewers will be sitting at home tonight thinking that’s not such a good idea,” Mr Gleeson said. \n\nHowever, “downloading this app helps protects your mates, it helps protect your family, it helps protect complete strangers,” he said. \n\n“This is about saving people’s lives”. \n\n“Downloading the app is the right thing to do,” he said. \n I trust a rabid dog before the Government... sky showing its true colours This is a PR battle that the govt might win, just as the ‘need’ for this app disappears. Pointless. And that’s why people are asking the question, why the urgency...

World Health Organisation ‘failed the world and now its boss must go’ | Sky News AustraliaThe World Health Organisation “has failed the world” and the first step towards rectifying the situation is for director general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus to be removed or relinquish his position says Sky News host Chris Kenny. \n\nMr Adhanom and the WHO have come under heavy security for their handling of the current deadly coronavirus pandemic, especially in its early stages. \n\nMr Kenny said the Communist Party of China had 'failed to stop the spread of the disease around the world, and the WHO did not call it out”. \n\n“Instead, its chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus visited Beijing late in January, was feted by Xi Jinping and obviously was hoodwinked too”. \n\nMr Kenny said the “biggest mistake” made by Mr Adhanom was to make “light of the disease” along with his hitting out at travel bans and “suggesting people should still be free to move around the world”. \n\n“That surely was his greatest mistake, and it was one, thankfully, that many countries, including our own, ignored”. \n\n“If you support the WHO, or if at least you support its aims of improving health around the globe, surely this bloke's got to go, sooner rather than later,” Mr Kenny said. \n\nImage: AP yes, he must go! PM defends COVID-19 tracing app | Sky News AustraliaPrime Minister Scott Morrison has confirmed the government’s \tCOVID-19 tracking app is strictly to assist health authorities to follow the spread of the coronavirus. \n\nThe prime minister stressed the app has a “specific job – for a time limited period” and only the health officer at state and territory levels would have access to the information gathered through it. \n\nImage: News Corp Australia ScottMorrisonMP Yes sure, did you see the flying pig this morning ScottMorrisonMP This from the “sports rorts” scammer?
