A 79-year-old woman in Tasmania's north-west has died after contracting coronavirus, taking the state's death toll to nine and the national toll to 77.
Health authorities in Victoria are investigating a new coronavirus cluster connected to a private inpatient psychiatric facility, as six new cases were confirmed in Victoria. He said the facility was considered high risk, with patients more likely to have chronic illness or other vulnerabilities. Another six Victorians were diagnosed with the virus over the pas 24 hours, taking the total number of cases in the state to 1343. Three of the six are linked to the psychatric facility.
