You may have noticed that mentions of antimalarial drugs as remedies for the novel coronavirus infection have fallen off a cliff lately. Two new data points released in recent days might well end the craze completely.hospitals showing that COVID-19 patients who received hydroxychloroquine died at higher rates than those who didn’t receive it.
Nor did the researchers find that treatment with the drug affected the rate at which the patients, who generally had advanced COVID-19 illness, needed to be put on ventilators, the most extreme therapy for the disease. The fact of the matter is, we don’t know .... At this point ... we are better off waiting for the randomized trials Dr. Fauci has been asking for.of hydroxychloroquine in conjunction with the antibiotic azithromycin in COVID-19 cases. The advisory carries the code A-III, meaning that it’s a “strong recommendation” against, based on “expert opinion.” The NIH cites the drug combination’s “potential for toxicities.
These developments, as it happens, are probably beneficial for patients, as they’ll discourage doctors from prescribing a treatment that has not been shown to be effective and carries documented risks of harm, including heart damage.
hiltzikm NOT SURPRISED!!!!
hiltzikm Probably because it was killing people.
hiltzikm Fake News. We're sick of this sh&t. The doctors are prescibing the drugs and ignoring you. So are the people.
hiltzikm The answer of the Pr raoult_didier about fake study... FYI in Marseille hydroxychloroquine with Azithromycine taken early work. Unfortunately it costs only 30 US$... not good for pharma business...
hiltzikm Everybody is avoiding it like the plague - legal issues might be heading the way of FOX & co in the near future.
hiltzikm BS.
hiltzikm the remedy works...Taken early. The study did not take that aspect of the medication in consideration
hiltzikm Mentions of antimalarial drugs as remedies for the novel coronavirus infection have fallen into the graves lately.

hiltzikm Mad Scientist - Trump as Dr in Chief
nycsouthpaw hiltzikm President Trump: 'I knew hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin wasn't an effective treatment long before anyone else said that.'
SheWhoRises hiltzikm Does this development mean that Donald Trump won't get the Nobel Prize in Medicine?
nycsouthpaw hiltzikm SheWhoRises
hiltzikm Trump said it, so no matter how many lives it might save if used correctly it must be shot into outer space and erased from the public record. Stone cold heartless.
nycsouthpaw hiltzikm Yeah, except the head of some vaccine development group just got axed because he pushed back on that shit.
hiltzikm 'That's, like, your opinion, maaaan.'
hiltzikm FakeNews ‼️
hiltzikm Is this the same “craze” that saved thousands of people across the country? Asking for a friend.
hiltzikm It was completely stupid to begin with. Even if the government declares an efficient vaccine, id wait a few months before getting it. I'm pro vaccine, but not pro rushed stupidity.
