Coronavirus: Facebook launches UK Covid-19 symptom survey

Facebook is to begin asking selected UK users whether they have had symptoms of Covid-19, later on Wednesday.Facebook said it would not have access to users’ health data but would simply pass it on to CMU.

One expert said data from the surveys would be useful to scientists but probably not, on its own, reveal much about the disease.Users have been asked questions about their health and whether they have experienced any common symptoms of Covid-19, such as a persistent cough or a fever. And CMU analysts intend “within a few weeks” to use data from the surveys and other sources to forecast how many Covid-19 hospital and intensive care admissions are likely in specific areas.showing its estimated proportion of people with Covid-19 in areas across the US.“The Covid-19 outbreak is presenting us with big challenges in terms of estimating prevalence in the population,” he told BBC News.

HOW STUPID. THE DOCTORS SAY THE SYMPTOMS ARE

BBCWorld Do not attend in anyway..

Do not give Facebook anymore of your information

BBCWorld Looks like Facebook are doing more than the UK government 🤣🤣🤣

BBCScotlandNews Do the symptoms differ if you aren't from the UK?

Would not touch anything from Facebook with a barge pole. What happened to the Mass transmission app used in 'Contagion: The BBC 4 Pandemic'?

Why facebook does it? Why government doesn’t? Facebook is a private company.

BBCWorld Did you know Mark Z had a good time on Epsteins Island, he tweeted that he did

Came off Facebook last week. They’re watching everything you post and if it doesn’t meet the current “narrative” it’s flagged up as fake news and deleted.

You can't believe anything from The misleading dreadful reporting of the BBC its on Parr with most Facebook post

Sensible people don't use Faecebook.

BBCWorld Can we get money from these surveys too...

The C-19 Symptom Checker run by Kings College London, and Guy’s and St Thomas’s has over two and a half million people posting sumptom information. Why a new one?

Too late Kings Collage one is much better actual, been going for weeks developed and informing our researchers to inform the NHS and others , not by someone who sells our data

No one trusts Facebook. What happened the last time people filled out surveys on Facebook?! They sold all your info!

Facebook will sell this data to whoever pays.
