The Lagos State Government has increased the hazard allowance of health workers in the state to N25,000.

This was contained in a circular dated April 21 and issued by the state’s Head of Service, Hakeem Muri-Okunola.

The circular with reference number Ref. No: CIR/HOS/’20/Vol.1/045 read, “In appreciation of the dedication of all health officers in Lagos State to the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, as well as their daily hazardous exposure to the highly contagious disease, it is hereby notified for general information that Mr. Governor has approved the increment of Hazard Allowance for all Health Officers in Lagos State from N5,000 to N25,000 for the month of April 2020.

The Italian, a consultant for Lafarge Africa Plc, was among 149 passengers aboard a Turkish Airlines flight which arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport on February 25. It stated that of the 38 new cases from eight states, 23 were reported in Kano; five in Gombe; three in Kaduna; two in Borno, two also in Abia, while one each was recorded in FCT, Sokoto and Ekiti.

So 25k is the cost of a health workers life to the Lagos State Government. This politicians sef. You guys better repent, fast.

Still very very low abeg.. If a senator is receiving 1.5million as paper allowance, why won't they switch it for health workers that are risking everything?

But this man dey try sha nothing like that in my state

Bigbabbbby Starting this month?

I am a health care worker but I don’t work for the government. Sincerely, what the hazard allowance and the new increment which is for just the month of April, if you go by my red marking on the letter deserve is downing of tools. Even in the face of death? Treat us better pls

Just for April alone ooh. Not permanently.

If its your son, will you give such amount as hazrad allowance? Nonchalant leaders.

So the hazard allowance no reach 25k before..😂 May be na like NYSC bicycle 🚲 allowance..before.. 😂

Still less than $100

Only?

Hmmm na misfortune go dey follow this leaders them, 25k hazard stipend for war front. And some nitty potty wey dey seat for somewhere doing nothing collect millions for say hardship allawee...Coronavirus where u dey na, give them politicians proper hardship abeg.

Meaning 25k per patient they come in contact with or per the hour of exposure to hazards/ threats?.... 25k is not enough at all.

Good start.... Pls keep improving..and let their remuneration keep getting better

Don't jubilate too much, it's just for the month of April, as said by the Governor.

Commendable I must say.

For April ooo Subsequent months have not been guaranteed

Is it health workers that treat bone dislocation or not included

Pls show some appreciation ,when you appreciate the little one, bigger one will surface. The most important thing first is to appreciate the governor of Lagos state.

We hope federal government will do same........

Weekly Abi monthly? Because I'm confused ooo, how much were you now paying them before

We should always learn to be appreciative, we should not be criticizing every time. From 5k to 25k, that's still cool. Other States should follow the pace set by the Lagos State government. Nice work sir, keep it up jidesanwoolu

Thank you followlasg, you are / have been setting the pace for good and very well. We dey try las las. No cap.

N100,000 please... We suppose pay them 1k usd or more on a good lane. All health workers - We sincerely appreciate you. It's a warfare...God help us all.

I think it should cut across all essential services officers

As long as it is not audio

Dat is very good. But they should equally consider the security agents

Less than a $100....na wah for Nigeria😒😒

DNurseAdvocate are we getting closer?

Why 25k make its 50 or 100. Mehn people are dying, If these guys decide not to help the nation during these times 👀👀 na wa for Nigeria o

jidesanwoolu you again show how committed you're in ensuring lives of Lagosians is given utmost priority. Commendable motivation, NGRPresident and other states governors should emulate, health workers deserve better.

That’s 20k, the people saying it’s not enough donehen sokoto doubled theirs (10k) people were raving o, but when in Lagos some people would still complain. You guys have problem

This is highly commendable, I hope other states and NGRPresident will do same or even better!

This is commendable, atleast you have conscience Sir

Not impressed at all. How much is our HOA members or Sanwolu Newspaper allowance only left alone the entire salary structure.

25k is still very low.

Good. Beautiful Can other states, naturally follow this landmark.... Thanks GovLagos .

Is it every week or what? What is 25k

I hope it is not audio sha Pls make it true health workers are the real MVP Anyways i sell this 👇👇👇👇👇👇

It’s a good start. I commend him for this. Sure no amount of money can cover up for the kind of risks and hazards we health workers are exposed to. Most times it’s always for the benefit of mankind. It’s a job of passion. But also we need to be remunerated appropriately

From what to 25?

Tell Federal Government to disburse the money na.

For the month of April

If he makes it 50,000 will he die

jidesanwoolu you really try by this increment. God will guide you, protect you and your family plus those around you. 🙌
