INMO advises nurses who are unable to work due to lack of childcare to seek full pay

said subsequently that it was now advising members who could not attend work due to a lack of childcare “to notify their employer and seek full pay and possible temporary reassignment”.

He suggested that if the Covid -19 crisis continued over a longer period, that arrangements for childcare which staff had put in place could become unsustainable. “No details have been finalised or agreements reached until such time as an NPHET recommendation and Government decision is made. Should such a decision be made, the Department of Children and Youth Affairs also awaits guidance from NPHET on a preferred model to minimise any public health concerns.

So now you all know how appalling poor and inept DCYA and Zappone are.They have pulled funding from services and as well as not delivering on a functioning wage scheme they failed to deliver this too.Autocracy at it's worst and they have been found out!Now services are insolvent!

If I wasn't working myself I would definitely mind children of healthcare workers for free, people need to step up and look after their neighbours who are cocooning and why not look after children of neighbours who are risking their lives to look after us. 1/2
