A Royal Adelaide Hospital intensive care nurse tests who has worked on coronavirus patients tests positive for COVID-19, forcing 22 other medical staff into self-isolation.

An intensive care unit nurse at the Royal Adelaide Hospital who has worked on coronavirus patients has tested positive for COVID-19.

SA Health said the nurse who is aged in her 20s is in isolation at home while she recovers from the virus.To date, 23 close contacts have been advised to self-isolate including 22 RAH staff — predominantly nurses and two doctors — as well as one other close contact.There is not expected to be any impact to patient care at the RAH, with sufficient staffing continuing to be available.
