If you are so breathless that you are unable to speak more than a few words you will be told to call 999, as this is a medical emergency. If you become so ill that you've stopped doing all of your usual daily activities then it will advise speaking to a nurse by dialling NHS 111.

It is wrong to give people the idea most will recover in 7 days - a moderate infection makes you feel ill for three weeks at least

Gold standard is 14 days This Govt is just full of bs

Happy St.Georges day to all at the BBC.

You would still be contagious after 7 days. Only 7 days isolation is bad advice... unless you WANT everyone infected for herd immunity.

Take it on the chin and some stiff upper lip.

A Word from a Actual Medical Professional about COVID-19

When we know the main purpose of wearing a face mask is to stop the symptomatic and non-symptomatic spreading Coronavirus why do the media keep talking about masks not protecting the wearer?

This exactly what we did. It was the worst thing ive ever experienced. I refused to go into hospital because I think that’s where I acquired it - visiting family and friends. Our NHS hospitals are rife with people sharing viruses and disease.

Ohhhh problem

Do I have coronavirus? A continuous, dry cough and fever are the key symptoms - but some people are reporting loss of taste or smell too (although this can be a symptom of other viruses)

BBCWorld Loss of common sense could be a symptom too if you consider all those protesting Americans.

I know a large number of people who’ve had “a flu worse and longer-lasting than anything they’ve had before” but didn’t fit the fever + dry cough template. Only testing will tell you.

😡😡😡 ask yourself

I had gum sore out of a sudden and one of my friend in Malaysia told me she had it too but recovered after a week and so did I. Just weird....

Effectively any old symptom means you've got it... bit like the side effects on every medication... it's called covering their arses.

Take mega dose of Vit C

I’m nearly at the end of recovery of it and tbh after 2 days it feels like you are practically dead. Fever, cough and the fatigue cripples your body.

Thanks for being 8 to 10 weeks behind.

The BEST GadGet for you smartphone!!!!!

When you’re in hospital on a ventilator is also a sign.

Pretending to be prime minister hasnt been ruled out as a possiblity

the same one but with something different

Mark my word, you don't necessarily have to have a high temperature either. Stay at home

Death is a symptom too

I despair. BBC is advising people to use 18th-century methods. As opposed to testing. The UK government banned private labs testing and is STILL executing 'herd immunity command and control let your mum/dad die to save few bucks' end game. Compare Germany science test approach.

All the above can be something other than covid-19. It may show a strain of a corona virus other than covid-19. Then the testing method only shows genetic material that may include covid-19 along with other viruses and diseases.

Anyone disbelieving .... have a watch ....

My grandma has a cough and itchy balls, has she got it?

I was born with no sense of smell and very little taste. I am 51 on Tuesday. We need to check the facts before publishing such information.

Can I find out if I had it? Can u get it again?

How do I know if I've got coronavirus control manual respects from peepz? I authored a 90-page manual to defeat/control/respond-to all them life-hostile aggressive microbe foe-complexes : -- * No one commented/rewarded/* yet -- RSVP -- *

quattrox

You know when you’ve got it. At that point, REST for 2 weeks or it will kill you.

How do I know? Do a test? Wait...the UK government banned private labs testing and is STILL executing 'herd immunity command and control let your mum/dad die to save few bucks' end game. There are no 'mistakes' here - It's a conscious GOVERNMENT strategy

And some people are fit and well they don't even know that they got covid 19......

The app will tell you.

Cough & temperature are common, but not essential symptoms. So, if you have symptoms that persist after 7 days, even without a cough or temperature, ring 111.

Certainly don’t take it on the chin. BorisTheButcher

The symptoms list you give out are too simplistic , it effects everyone different

Great info

.... But a cough and fever can also be many other things
