Wan Junaidi, who is entrepreneur development and cooperatives minister, said the list of additional services that would have operating restrictions lifted was drawn up by a special Cabinet committee that was formed on the instructions of the prime minister during a Cabinet meeting two weeks ago. “The committee came up with the report and identified certain businesses, and later after several discussions, it was agreed only to operationalise certain businesses and services in the ‘Covid-19 green areas’ of the country.

The Malaysian Govt is almost changing policies on daily basis. There was no mention of reopening of services in green zones only. This & many other policy U turns may raise doubts on the new Govt’s ability to handle this historic crisis.

What is the point of MCO?
1. This is what I suggested. Allow flexibility to open business in GREEN ZONES. Of course workers from RED ZONES should not be allowed into green zones. EMPLOYERS should be responsible for the health and safety of their workers. ENSURE they wear PPE and wash up after work.
