PETALING JAYA: The pay cut issue is starting to worry M-League footballers but Melaka’s Jasmir Mehat has cooked up a plan on how to supplement his family’s income.

Jasmir’s parents owned a food stall that has always been a crowd favourite but has now been forced to close due to the movement control order .“It’s been tough for my parents since they had to stop their business, we have managed until now but another two weeks of MCO it will be tough on us financially,” said the 26-year-old midfielder.

“People were asking my parents if we are still serving food and I also noticed that a lot of eating places have closed. That’s when I felt that we should take orders online. We also deliver or the customers can pick up at our home. “The response has been great since we started last Thursday, we now need to plan the delivery properly as we have a lot of places to cover.”

However, he was dropped from the team in 2018. Jasmir then plied his trade with Terengganu City and then joined another third division side, Syarikat Air Melaka Berhad in 2019.
