Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah advises the higher education ministry against allowing university and college students, stuck on their campuses, to return home under the third phase of the MCO.
He said the ministry had recommended that the measures implemented in the prior phases remain until April 28, adding that restricted movement, border control and the banning of gatherings had proven to be successful. While announcing the MCO’s extension yesterday, Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin said a number of additional services will be allowed to operate, subject to strict conditions, including hair salons, hardware and laundry services.
“Our advice to the higher education ministry is to be patient. In at least a week, we’ll look at the latest data.
DGHisham yes pls do not allow add services to operate like the hair salons n laundry services n whatever else. It would just be wasting all of our time n money to stay home for so many weeks. And no we cannot move students around. Thank you StayAtHome
Sensible comments again from THE MAN! Listen to him la, YAB PM. Don't let the other ministers have their way and loosen things and we give back all the gains made in the last month.
