COVID-19: South Africa, Algeria, Egypt top list as Africa death toll hits 666

South Africa, Algeria, and Egypt have continued to top the list of countries with the highest reported cases.

South Africa has 2,003 cases and 24 deaths, Algeria has 1,761 cases with 256 deaths, while Egypt has 1,699 confirmed cases with 118 deaths.The countries with the lowest confirmed cases are South Sudan and Burundi, which have reported only three cases each. “#COVID19 cases in Africa rise to over 12,700 – with 2,050 recoveries & 666 associated deaths reported,” WHO tweeted.

It's not surprising that SA has a high number of covid19 cases since they have tested over 70,000 people compared to the 5000 tested in Nigeria.
