COVID-19: South Africa, Algeria, Egypt top list of worst-hit as Africa death toll hits 608

South Africa, Algeria, and Egypt have continued to top the list of countries with the highest reported cases.

South Africa has 1,934 cases and 18 deaths, Algeria has 1,666 cases with 235 deaths, while Egypt has 1560 confirmed cases with 103 deaths.The countries with the lowest confirmed cases are South Sudan and Burundi, which have reported only three cases each. “COVID-19 cases in Africa rise to over 11,900 – with 1,586 recoveries & 608 deaths reported,” WHO tweeted.
