Opinion A relapse of symptoms have occurred in later years to survivors of Polio. My late mother in law was hospitalized as a girl, she seemingly recovered, while her sister suffered physical scars & paralysis. In her late 60s my MIL had a relapse of Polio, severe respiratory illness.
