Virgin Australia has suspended all domestic flying except for a single Sydney to Melbourne return service, running daily except for on Saturdays.
The airline will continue to operate government-funded international flights to bring stranded Australians home and charter flights. Federal government has already announced assistance in the energy and telecommunications sectors, and today’s agreement will see the state territory government extend them to water and local government rates.
