An official of the Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission on Thursday asked the National Bureau of Investigation to probe Vice President Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo for her actions that allegedly “undermine” the government’s efforts to fight the coronavirus disease 2019 .|PACC Commissioner Manuelito Luna said Robredo’s acts might be in violation of the government’s policies in addressing the pandemic.
But PACC Commissioner Greco Belgica said the call to investigate Robredo was just a “personal opinion” of Luna and did not reflect the stand of the anti-corruption body. “Our concern is to save lives and rebuild our country and the lives of our people after all this ends,” Belgica stressed.
