STAGE THREE LOCKDOWN: Morrison deploys radical limits on entering public places | Sky News AustraliaGatherings in public places have now been restricted to only two people in drastic new Stage Three limitations announced by Prime Minister Scott Morrison designed to “save lives and save livelihoods” in the face of COVID-19.\n\nPeople have been warned not to leave their home unless they are partaking in a small list of exempted activities which include grocery shopping and essential work.\n\n“Unless it’s (members of) your household … being with one other person outside is what is required,” Prime Minister Morrison said.\n\nGroups of three people or more were also officially banned meaning just two people at a time may walk around in public places.\nThe increased conditions came as the government revealed infection rates were slowing with a growth rate of just 9 per cent, down from 25 per cent.\n\nThe figures are far below many formal predictions by health experts prompting Chief Medical Officer Brendan Murphy to declare the measures were working.\n\nImage: Getty Coalition?
