The coronavirus has begun infecting Britain's public servants after Prime Minister Boris Johnson and two others tested positive to COVID-19.

Health Secretary Matt Hancock tested positive while Chief Medical Officer Chris Whitty self-isolated after revealing he had symptoms. The news came as the UK recorded its sharpest increase of deaths, with the toll rising to more than 750. Mr Hancock and the prime minister said they would continue to lead the country from isolation.
