Nore than 200 Australians aboard the Costa Victoria are now in isolation after a passenger tested positive for COVID-19, according to people on the ship. Follow our live coverage here:

Global tobacco giant Philip Morris International has suspended operations at its factory in Bologna, Italy "due to the ongoing situation regarding COVID-19".

Philip Morris had enough cigarettes to supply its international markets for about six weeks, the statement said. "As from today, if you are travelling to Tasmania and it's non-essential travel, do not come," Mr Gutwein said. "Do not get on the TT line. What we will do is turn you around and ask you to go back."

"Following the developments in the COVID-19 situation, and the need to protect our staff and all visitors to our buildings, we have decided to close our public facing counters and cease face-to face services from Tuesday 24 March 2020," it said in a statement.

Everyone talks about young people being reckless in their behaviour. What would you say about these irresponsible old idiots? Talking about repatriation of people who are reckless like these, who will guarantee that they will be following quarantine measures without violating?

Morons, let them stay on holoholidayday, on their ship, in their cabin

Don’t let it dock here in Australia

Why are they looking to disembark in Italy - is that country's health system not under enough strain already?

BBCWorld please please report and share to the world what NSW has done, the Ruby Princess is not the only one. Apparently passengers were not even told to isolate. They’ve made it worse and still won’t lock us down. COVIDー19

Editing please: 'More', not 'Nore'. Let's maintain at least a few standards. We haven't succumbed to barbarism, at least not yet.

Why are people still on cruise ships? Is there no end to idiocy?

Still blows me away that people would get in a cruise ship after what happened in Yokohama. 100 doctors and nurses now stuck in Peru should have had more sense. Just goes to show that you can have a high IQ and still be an idiot.

I can’t fathom why ppl were still getting on these cruises. Cruise ship operators hopefully out of biz because of this

What insanity. Last Thursday in Sydney more than 1000 passengers from The Ruby Princess cruiseship were allowed to disembark, even though a bunch presented symptoms of Coronavirus. Now it turns out 48 passengers on that boat have tested positive. Someone needs to be responsible.

cruises are so good

Do you have a phone check him get his GPS find out where he wants it could be a clue Scooby- if you want snacks you can start having some balls

after Wuhan it is amazing that people r still going on cruise ships

Now

Who is that man- What were his last with 48 hours before he got on that cruise we need to know that right now- Who is he with two days before he got on the cruise
