Health Secretary Francisco Duque III tests negative for the coronavirus disease or COVID-19

— Health Secretary Francisco Duque III has tested negative for the coronavirus disease or COVID-19, Health Undersecretary and Spokesperson Ma. Rosario Vergeire said on Sunday.

Vergeire confirmed that Duque was tested for the viral disease after a director at the Health department tested positive.Duque has been on home quarantine since Thursday while waiting for the test results. “Offices have been disinfected and close contacts informed so that they can immediately undergo home quarantine and strict monitoring," the Department of Health said in an earlier statement.

The Philippines currently has 380 confirmed cases of COVID-19. Of these, 15 have recovered while 25 died.
