World Health Organisation: Covid-19 vaccine trial begins thesundaily Covid19 vaccine WHO

: The first vaccine trial for the deadly coronavirus has begun, the World Health Organisation head said Wednesday.

Tedros praised the researchers around the world who he said are acting together “to systemically evaluate experimental therapeutics”. Countries that have confirmed they will join the “solidarity trial” include Argentina, Bahrain, Canada, France, Iran, Norway, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, and Thailand.

They can reduce the burden on the health system and help make epidemics manageable, allowing targeted and focused measures.
