A DECORATED war hero attempted to take his own life after witnessing 'the worst type of trauma you could ever wish to see' in Afghanistan. Ex-Colour Sergeant Trevor Coult, 44, broke down while teaching new recruits in 2014.

Mr Coult then survived eight bomb blasts and 76 enemy engagements during three operational tours of Afghanistan.The former Royal Irish Regiment soldier, who suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder, told the Daily Express: “I was teaching the orders process - it is a really simple lesson that all of the soldiers know.“I couldn’t remember the format and found myself shaking.“It was a low point.“It was a terrible time, I didn’t know what was going on. I only felt anxiety and stress.
