A Filipino resident in Singapore who tested positive for the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID -19) is now in “stable” condition, said the Philippine Consul General in Singapore on Friday.

“Stable condition naman na siya. Nasa hospital pa siya. Isolation room yata kasi malalaman natin yan pag fully recovered na siya, mag-iinform yung Ministry of Health sa atin para at least makakalabas na siya,” Adrian Bernie Candolada, Philippine Consul General in Singapore said in an interview with DZMM.

As of Thursday noon, 66 out of 96 confirmed positive cases of Covid-19 in Singapore were fully recovered and discharged from hospitals.Filipinos in Singapore are no longer engaged in panic buying, however, the supply of facemasks and hand sanitizers is still insufficient. “Wala nang panic buying. Ang supply nang mask sa market ay bihira kang makakita ng facemasks matagal nang wala na sa market o bihirang bihira na aside from the facemasks, at saka handsanitizers mahirap na siya hanapin,” he said.
