NSTnation A stall famous for its mamak style fish head curry and fried chicken in Bangsar was sealed

The stall has been around for decades and long queues have become the norm for folks who frequent it for lunch.

There will however be no queues over the next 14-days from yesterday, as the stall was ordered to close to facilitate cleaning works at its premises. The stall was one of six premises, including a restaurant that were instructed to shut down in a raid conducted by the department's enforcement team from the Lembah Pantai Health Office.

A statement from the department said that the two-week closure order for unsanitary premises was issued under Section 11 of the Food Act 1983. A total of 15 notices were issued to the premises operators for offences such as infestation of cockroaches and rats, newspapers used to wrap vegetables, messy fridge storage areas as well as filthy conditions and oily kitchen floors.
