The spokeswoman said staff had suspected guests may have the coronavirus after the hotel was put on lockdown on Wednesday evening, but no health authority had given them any information

The Staycity Aparthotel has come under fire for not warning guests about the coronavirus outbreak, but a spokeswoman says health officials told them nothing for hours after tests came back positive

‘I can’t say the exact time because I wasn’t involved in the call, but I do know it was after lunch in the afternoon that we were told.. She said the hotel sent a letter out to every single guest, put notices up and offered refunds for those who wished to leave. Paul Hunter, a professor of medicine at the University of East Anglia, has argued the Department of Health has a ‘duty’ to warn the public of any risks.
