"This trial provides some useful reassurance to ongoing clinical trials, particularly in treatment resistant depression," added Rucker, who was not involved in the study. Multiple studies to date have found benefits in using psilocybin to treat people with depression when combined with supportive therapy.
My experience with LSD and psilocybin had always been positive. One can overdo it and feel like one won't stop tripping. Mushrooms, when overdone, will cause stomach cramps and diarrhea. When one knows how to dose it is a good experience. Clinically dosed would be different

Both LSD and psilocybin are effective in treating anxiety. When I used to mess with both, I refered to both as a 'soft reset' of sorts. Something about tripping on either made the following month less anxious and more enjoyable for me. God knows I could use a reset now.

In my experience, in the right conditions I have had a wonderfully uplifting spiritual experience that left me with a glow of positivity and a deeper sense of purpose and appreciation for life. I use it to treat bipolar. I only use when I start to feel depression coming on.
