'January is extremely difficult. I ended up without anywhere to stay too.' Josh Ryder is an army veteran who has found himself homeless twice since leaving the forces

It can still be a struggle though. I have two children and I'm not with either of their parents and so I have those responsibilities.

You pay it all out, the house, the car, the fuel money and then you're left with maybe a couple of hundred a month and that doesn't take into account anything else that might come along as a necessity to pay for.Mr Ryder was in the army for seven yearsI got housed really quickly on a reasonable budget. It was a huge thing and the quick turnaround was massive.

I spoke to the charity and they had a contact for someone who could facilitate housing. I had a meeting with the head of the charity and he was happy for me to move in.With my background in the military, you really do shut off your emotions, otherwise you wouldn't cope but now I understand more that you should talk about it.

I still have my struggles, a lot of people do, but [finances] are a huge thing and put extra pressure on.

Remove all the illegal immigrants claiming benefits and there would be plenty of housing for vets who have served queen and country.

Please find him a forever home x

Not one family member or friend to stay with? That's rough

And they wonder why the armed forces has difficult recruiting. Once you leave you're completely forgotten about plus the pay is sh**

Homelessness for people leaving the forces is both cruel and unacceptable. The forces manage people's lives and suddenly to be cast adrift with no where to call home is disgraceful. Leaving a job done for years is traumatic, many are highly stressed yet this is not recognised.

Just get a job and move on with your life man . Because you was in army no one has responsibility for your keep after you leave arms forces. You are back in real life civilian life. Army is easy place to be in been kept by taxpayer money.
