The drought has spread across Australia 'like a cancer', according to Water Resources Minister David Littleproud.

The drought has spread across Australia "like a cancer", according to Water Resources Minister David Littleproud. Speaking alongside Mr Littleproud in Orange on Tuesday, Prime Minister Scott Morrison said he wanted to assure those in drought-affected regions that they were not being left by the wayside.

“While there has obviously been a lot of focus on the response to the terrible bushfires in recent months,” he said, he wanted to “assure all Australians who have been devastated and impacted,” that they are “keenly in our focus”. Mr Morrison announced a $47 million funding extension to the Drought Communities Programme, which was “one of the first responses to the drought”.

actually it’s more like a rash, apply topical creme (rain) and it disappears

GridWater 'Dr John Bradfield understood drought was part of Australian landscape 81-years-ago He designed an ambitious water infrastructure plan This visionary thinking is what PM Morrison's 21st Century National Water Grid will deliver for Australia'

And your government is the catalyst mate.

Yet we lack any real water management from North to South other than who to sell it to.

We have been warned for decades that the changing climate was going to cause desertification much of Australia’s agricultural land. Now that it is happening all of you RWNJ still refuse to believe it and still refuse to act. ClimateCriminals

Welcome to CLIMATE EMERGENCY David. Are you going to action now? or throw even more Farmers under the bus. auspol

Water mismanagement

Cotton, water corruption & cayman island bank accounts?

And what have you done about it other than release water for the environment. Start looking seriously at storing water in Queensland and then releasing it to NSW and Queensland where and when needed. Cost should be irrelevant.

I don’t know about you guys, but I feel like Australia is getting hotter and drier every year 🥵

will the Drought Communities Programme, be extended to labour voting areas as well as liberal/Nats?

Water has been mismanaged across the board, at the federal level by D_LittleproudMP and in NSW as well. They have contributed to the severity of the drought and towns running out of water. Corporate greed, negligence, maladministration and incompetence. auspol

If you mean 'bad' cells eating up the 'good' cells to the point that the host dies then yeah! it's just like cancer

And still happy to give unlimited water extraction rights to an Indian coal mine.😒

We treat cancer and try to avoid the causes. So some follow through on this analogy would be a start.

Pouring in the Top End. Nearly 2.4m annually. But our pollies sit on their hands squirming over the latest MSM SJW cause instead of securing our future. Billions of foreign aid each year, but this is too hard?

BOM reported there will be life threatening floods in Burdekin Qld, they previously called no rain until April. So I will be more positive, the rain is a coming yippee.

Funny that...

And yet it's raining in Queensland
