Los Angeles County public health officials Wednesday said it was “very possible” the area would see at least one patient, given the number of people traveling between China and the L.A. area.
The patient, a resident of Snohomish County, Wash., recently returned to the U.S. after visiting the region around Wuhan, China, the epicenter of the outbreak. Once inside the U.S., he began to experience pneumonia-like symptoms and notified his doctor about his travel history. Test results for the virus returned positive over the weekend.
This ain't good. Personally know someone who landed there in a layover to China. And when she's back in chigaco, she's like a couple hours away from where i live. If Chicago gets it, the Midwest is going down. Start more strict screening ASAP!
What about all the Chinese New Year celebrations that will be going on? These events could be hotbeds for the spread of the coronavirus. Is anyone thinking about this?
The flu is much more dangerous and has a higher mortality rate. Get you flu shot.
