Singapore ups health checks in response to China outbreak fears

Singapore's Health Ministry says temperature screenings at Changi Airport will be expanded to all inbound travellers on flights arriving from China. – EPA pic, January 21, 2020.

SINGAPORE is putting in place additional precautionary measures to reduce the risk of the coronavirus outbreak in China reaching the island republic following confirmation by the Chinese authorities of its human-to-human transmission. On its website today, the Singapore Health Ministry said it noted the increase in the number of cases and widened distribution of the virus in China.
