A cold weather alert has been issued by Public Health England from 6pm on Sunday to 6pm on Tuesday, and the organisation is urging people to prepare for cold weather conditions and look out for those most at risk.Dr Owen Landeg, principal environmental public health scientist at PHE, said: "Below 18 degrees, changes to the body mean that the risk of strokes, heart attacks and chest infections increase.
