A plan to turn a “big ugly hole” in the middle of the Royal North Shore Hospital campus into usable green space remains in limbo, despite the original building’s demolition more than five years ago.
“You would have thought for a major teaching hospital like this the government would want it to be in the best possible state, and that would mean not having a big ugly hole in the ground in the middle of the campus.” The green space would be particularly important for patients and their families who have had to travel from regional towns for treatment, Dr Joseph said.In mid-2019 Health Infrastructure commissioned an analysis of landscaping options for the site, looking at different options for a temporary park that could be used by patients and staff until the space was needed for further hospital expansion.
rachelclun Why doesn't the private operator of the hospital contribute to the development of the site?
rachelclun Start by throwing in all Green Party members and their recent electoral voters. In fact, throw in anyone who thinks the Green Party should exist!
