NSTnation: Consumers were also asked to use public taps installed at 14 locations throughout the affected areas to obtain their water supply.

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd corporate communications head Abdul Halem Mat Som, in a statement today, said the plant resumed full operations at 1pm. However the Bukit Tampoi water treatment plant remains closed.

“Air Selangor will keep consumers informed of the latest developments regarding the water distribution.” He said 11 local service centres will continue to operate 24 hours in four districts as previously listed. In addition to these, Halem said Air Selangor also distributes five-litre bottled water to consumers, especially to high-rise building residents.“We are asking users to be patient with this unwanted situation and we are taking more proactive steps to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.”
