Health Ministry vows action against food outlets

Director-General of Health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah warns customers to stay away from flooded restaurants and observe strict hygiene protocols when consuming food and drink. – Facebook pic, December 23, 2019.

THE Health Ministry will take action against any operators of food premises continuing to prepare and serve food even when their outlets are flooded. In a statement today, director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the action could be closure of the premises and a compound imposed under the Food Act 1983 and Food Hygiene Regulations 2009.
