PETALING JAYA: Parts of Klang Valley have been hit with unscheduled water cuts after a water treatment plant was shut down due to pollution on Saturday (Dec 21).

In a notification on their official app, Air Selangor said pollution of raw water caused the Sg Semenyih treatment plant to be shut down at 10am."A timeframe on when the water treatment plant would be operational again has not been established at this time. It will depend on the level of contamination," it said.

Air Selangor also said that updates will be issued from time to time and action taken to ease the impact of the water cuts. It advised consumers to download the Air Selangor app or visit www.airselangor.com for more information and updates. On Facebook, Lembaga Urus Air Selangor said the plant was shut down at 7.15am on Saturday after a solvent-like odour was detected.

"Luas, Air Selangor, and other relevant agencies are carrying out investigations to identify the source of pollution and implement immediate measures to check it," it said.

Rubbish. cyclic boundary conditions. It's not going to converge. Again and again.

When will there ever be a permanent resolution to this? What actions have been taken to prevent this from happening?

Our Members of Parliament, on both sides of the isle, should spend time hammering out a concrete action plan to the tackle water pollution problem instead of wasting time quarreling in the parliament!!!!

MB got to go!

Air Selangor - why is our water so easily polluted? Where is the security? If the Russian spy were to attack us, all they need is to poison our water sources.....

pakatanharapan_ what steps are being taken to stop the source of this recurrent problem.

I think the person need to push the tap head so the water can flow out..
