The first conclusive study over the health effects of vaping has been published over in the US and it’s not good news.
The research used data collected by the Food and Drug Administration and has been published this week in theThe data came from 32,000 adults between the years of 2013 and 2016 and was analysed from 2018 to 2019. Vaping and e-cigarettes have only really come into the mainstream since 2003 and many have held them up as an answer to traditional smoking.
But those who carried out the study are firm in the belief they are harmful. They state that vapers are 1.3 times more likely than non-vapers to develop diseases like chronic bronchitis, emphysema, or asthma.‘I think it’s a critically important paper,’ Harvard University professor of public health Joseph Allen, who was not involved with the study,‘We don’t have any information as of now on the potential long-term impacts of e-cigarettes on respiratory health.
Wonder if sitting a steamy sauna has same effects. Gaping is just the new stick to beat fellow workers with !!!. Taking too many breaks to vape why it's an outrage, let me go one my Facebook and start a thread oh + catch up on some soaps. Wonder what's happening in love island ?
Interesting. I smoked for 20+ years, stopped (due to asthma) then vaped for 6 years. During that time I had many spirometry tests. In the 6 years since quitting smoking cigarettes, my lung function improved by almost 40%. Make of that what you will.
Still better than them stinky fags though
They really could've done with comparing it's harmfulness to that of smoking. No doubt its bad for you but which is worse would be my question if I was trying to quit smoking.. One would assume smoking but who knows
