A picture is worth a thousand words and a group of black medical students at Tulane University are hoping their pictures speak volumes about how far they've come.

Russell Ledet, a medical student at Tulane University, tells CNN he got the idea after a conversation with his eight-year-old daughter about a trip they took to Whitney Plantation in Edgard, Louisiana. "Her insight [to the visit] was,"This is not fair. This is not supposed to happen,"' Ledet said."So I had this idea that we need to get the black medical students at Tulane and we need come here. We need to do this for ourselves.

Who the hell in their right mind would be 'inspired' by slavery? You say 'Black Excellence' & I say well duhhh; we can be what ever we want. Can we normalize it now? This is just weird.

Very cool. The next Barack Obama might be standing there at that place...male OR female. The original inhabitants could never have dreamed of this amazing future. Sadly, we still have a long way to go, that's obvious.

Is it Stains Gate reference?

Wait, that was the place they used to film scenes in Homeland on Showtime last season, no? Where FBI raided White Supremacist hideout...

It's really cool to see this way 💗💗💗💯🇳🇬

Dope.

What is it with medical students and these short ward coats ?

Yes! 💪

More confirmation of the greatness that is America.

👏👏

What Democratic plantation was that from? How come the Democratic Party has never apologized for slavery?

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

What you think?

That's racist.

This is ridiculous. Plantations didn’t “inspire” them, nor were they even relevant in their lives.

The truly inhumane sad part of this example s that the early acts had such a scaring effect on the USA. N Africa they r men; n USA black men. Do they say the sam of whites n europe/USA? No. Y the difference? We shud all know the bad reason y.
