“Miracle cures and products offering a quick fix are very popular in Malaysia, my native country, despite not having any clinical studies. Dr Nur Amalina also highlighted how she has been using her online presence to disseminate scientifically proven and accurate health information to debunk myths and fake medical news.

“In September, Instagram launched a ban on toxic weight loss products and cosmetic surgery promoted by the likes of Kim Kardashian and other social media influencers,” she said, adding regulations over influencer marketing were welcomed in what was still uncharted territories. “It is important to stay focused, ignore the trolls and negativity and provide evidence-based medicine as a source when making a statement.

Agreed. Its about time lah . In singapore its very very strict . Our Health Science Authority no nonsense when it comes to health products that are too good to be true . Our laws here sooo strict sampaikan nak buang sampah pun bole kena denda sampai $2000.000

At the end of the day, I believe people just have to be smart & of course with the authorities keeping a close eye on things..

Once upon a time medical marijuana was a medical myth too, we cannot keep relying on the so called 'modern medication' alone, there are loads of other means of treatment and cure, ,
