I've had no voice for three days from the smoke, I can't imagine how people living closer are coping," Kelly Owens said on Twitter.But that is also when the extreme heat will hit, with temperatures forecast to reach 42 degrees Celsius in some western suburbs.The conditions mean firefighters are on high alert around the state today.

It would be great to hear an objective story on these fires as to why they are so bad. I hear climate change I hear no back burning. Now much carbon is currently being released? How does this compare to say sydneys emissions on a daily basis?

Hazardous smoke lol ..... no one sane is buying the climate fear . My advice would be machine gun toaters at the local supermarket or perhaps medical clinics , supermarkets & kinders ...like the airport. Try that .
