Sports,New York Mets,Nyu Langone Injury Report

Dennis Cardone, MD, Chief of Primary Care Sports Medicine, joins New York Post Sports anchor Brandon London to discuss how Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers was able to make q quick recovery from the surgery he had on his torn Achilles last September, whether the 40-year-old signal-caller can withstand a 17-game season and what fans should expect.

Marte says his right knee feels good, and he has passed all the tests trainers have been putting him through since returning to baseball activities last Friday. That is expected to happen in the next few days.

“It feels good. Every test that we’ve done, I’ve passed. It feels good up until this point. … We’re going to have to wait and see how I respond, but right now everything feels good.” He was having a strong offensive season, slashing .278/.328/.416 with seven home runs, 12 stolen bases and an OPS of .745.

“The team is playing great right now, they’re playing really good baseball up until this point,” Marte said. “I can’t wait to get back out there so I can help any way that I can.”
